Few bands define the sound of classic rock quite like Journey. Formed in San Francisco in 1973, the group began as a collection of talented musicians with roots in Santana, The Steve Miller Band, and other Bay Area acts. But it wasn’t until the late 1970s—when lead singer Steve Perry joined—that Journey’s signature sound truly came alive.

Throughout their career, Journey has sold more than 100 million records, earned 19 Top 40 singles, and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Even with changes in the lineup—most notably the addition of vocalist Arnel Pineda in 2007—the band continues to tour and draw massive crowds.
