Minnesota Company Now World Famous Thanks to Usher!

Did you catch the Super Bowl?  I won't do any spoilers, just in case you haven't heard who took home that "W", but I will say, it was a real nail-biter at the end!  Even Taylor Swift was feeling the stress as she was watching her guy, Travis Kelce on the field.

Before the streaker showed up and the Chiefs and 49ers started making us all stress out about the score, there was a little thing called the Halftime Show.  As soon as Usher finished with his performance, one Minnesota company let the world know on Facebook that Usher was sporting their product.

Usher Showed Up On Stage at the Super Bowl Wearing a Minnesota Product

It was anticipated that over 200 million people would be spending their February 11th watching the biggest football game of the year that took place at Allegiant Stadium in Vegas.  Sin City was hopping with celebrities...probably because they are some of the few who can actually afford tickets to the Super Bowl.  #YouKnowIAmRight

While most of Minnesota was watching the Super Bowl on TV, one Minnesota company was front and center on the stage with Usher.

As always, the internet is running fast with love and hate messages for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Usher showed up on the field and started with a bit of a New Orleans/Cirque du Soleil feel.

That beginning was mesmerizing to me. People were upside down and in crazy poses and looked like they were frozen!  Amazing talent...and one I will never have since I sometimes don't even want to go to the gym to walk on a treadmill.

The Two Rumors That I Heard About The Super Bowl Halftime Show With Usher

I don't know if you listen to the rumors about the Halftime Show ahead of time or not, but I heard two - 1) Alicia Keys was going to be a surprise guest, and 2) Usher was going to bring back the rollerskates!

Both of those rumors came true, I just didn't know that a Minnesota company would play a part in one.

As soon as the Halftime Show was over, Riedell Roller, a company based in Red Wing, posted the following on Facebook:

After a bit of digging, I found out from Footwearnews.com that Usher and the 15 performers on his team Sunday were rolling around on skates that were co-designed by Usher and R&B superstar, Liberty Ross.  The skates took several months to create and were handmade by Riedell Skates in Red Wing, Minnesota.
