Update: Young Victim of Fatal Minnesota Head-on Crash With Semi ID'D

Morris, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorist lost their life in a head-on crash on a highway in western Minnesota early Friday morning.

An official crash report has not yet been released, however a State Patrol Spokesman said the crash happened around 4:30 a.m.

The deadly collision closed a stretch of the highway in both directions for about six hours, according to MnDOT

The head-on collision involved a semi truck and passenger vehicle. It happened on Hwy. 59 along the eastern outskirts of Morris.

Authorities say the driver of the passenger vehicle died. Their name has not been released.

 

The truck driver, who also has not yet been identified, suffered what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries. The deadly crash is under investigation.
