Authorities ID Two People Killed in Minnesota House Explosion
Princeton, MN (KROC-AM News) - A massive explosion in central Minnesota destroyed a home and claimed the lives of two people early this morning.
The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office says dispatchers received multiple 911 calls just before 4 AM today concerning an explosion at a rural property several miles north of Princeton. A news release says deputies arrived at the scene and discovered a large debris field that was still on fire.
A search of what had been a home located the two victims. They were identified as 59-year-old Royce Edward Kreger and 60-year-old Katherine Ann Kreger. Officials say the family dog was also killed in the explosion.
Investigators from the State Fire Marshal's Office are working with the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office to determine the cause of the deadly explosion.
