
New Restaurant Coming To Fill Sioux Falls Dining Gap
After sitting empty for the last seven months, a vacant Sioux Falls restaurant spot appears to have a new tenant.
According to a sign on the former Fazoli’s location on the Empire Mall property, the North Carolina-based Yummy Crab will be taking over the location.
The space has been empty since Fazoli's closed in July 2025.

Yummy Crab (and its variant Yummi Crab) has more than 30 locations nationwide, including restaurants in Omaha and Davenport, Iowa. Yummy Crab's atmosphere is described as 'casual and family-friendly with a focus on 'bibs up, phones down' dining.'
The menu features:
- Snow Crab Legs
- Shrimp
- Crawfish
- Green Mussels
There's also a selection of appetizers, soups, rice, fried baskets, and desserts.
No word yet on when Yummy Crab will open its doors in Sioux Falls.
