Sioux Falls Bike Trail Partial Closure: What You Need To Know

A portion of the bike trail in Sioux Falls will be unavailable for the next few weeks.

The three-mile stretch of trail along Veterans Parkway from East Madison Street to East Rice Street is closed due to site restoration from 2025 construction activity.

This work is expected to be completed by May 1st.

Trail users are urged to avoid this area completely during construction.

The Sioux Falls Recreation Trail has over 45 total miles of paved trail. The Greenway Recreation Main Trail Loop is 19.13 miles and follows along the Big Sioux River.

The trail is open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:0p0 PM, except for Falls Park and the Downtown River Greenway, which closes at midnight.
