Carhartt Coming to The Empire Mall: Opening Date & Location

The Empire Mall announced that the space across from Lencrafters, near the door in the food court, will be the new home of Carhartt. The store will bring its signature rugged workwear and outdoor style to Sioux Falls. Plans are for the store to open this fall.

Hollister Brings California-Inspired Fashion to Sioux Falls

For people looking for a source of fresh "Southern California-inspired" style will want to check out Hollister when it opens this fall. The new Hollister will be located near Dillard's in the mall.

The athletic and lifestyle appeal brand Lululemon is planning to move to the center court of the mall and expand its offerings. The new store is also expected to open this fall.

It also features nearly 150 stores and restaurants in and around the giant one-story building.

How the Western Mall Evolved Alongside Sioux Falls

On what was then the edge of town, the Western Mall opened in Sioux Falls in October of 1968.

The Western Mall is still part of the Sioux Falls community today. But it has gone through many transformations over the years. Now home to Best Buy, Sheels, the West Mall 7 Theaters, and various businesses and offices, the Western Mall started as the premier shopping destination of South Dakota.
