Sioux Falls Children’s Home Shelter Needs Help After Pipe Bursts
Sioux Falls is a generous community that always helps those in need. Especially when it comes to non-profit organizations throughout the Sioux Falls area
The Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety is asking for additional support from the Sioux Empire this holiday season after a sudden pipe burst inside its facility.

What Is The Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety?
Formerly known as Children's Inn, they help victims of domestic violence escape. They provide safe shelter, a crisis hotline, counseling, advocacy, meals, transportation, and more. They give the abused and neglected throughout South Dakota hope.
The local non-profit had a pipe break at the Shelter for Family Safety late last week. Thankfully, staff and those they serve are safe. However, some donation items were damaged in the incident.
Any support from the Sioux Empire is greatly needed and appreciated.
Right now, our greatest needs are diapers in sizes 4, 5, and 6, toys and games, and high-efficiency laundry detergent or pods—as we’re already tackling a large amount of laundry.
You can call (605)-338-0116 to donate or if you have any questions.
Don't forget: The annual Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive for the Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety is happening now until December 24th at the Empire Mall. All you have to do is drop off a new, unwrapped toy in the big sleigh at the Gift Wrap Booth in the Macy’s Wing of The Empire Mall. Plus, with a donation, some "Christmas Elves" can wrap your gifts at the Shelter’s Gift Wrap Booth. 100% of all donations will go directly to the kids and families the Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety serves. It's the season of giving in South Dakota. Let's continue to spread the holiday cheer to those in need this year.
