New Policy For TP-ing Homes in Small Iowa Town Could Mean Jail
Don't even think about TP-ing homes in this small Iowa town. If you get caught, you could get arrested and face serious charges!
Officials in the town of Jesup, Iowa, just implemented a new "zero-tolerance policy" of TP-ing activities. Consider this a public warning from local police.

According to a developing story from KCRG Channel 9, the Jesup Police Department has officially banned TP-ing and will arrest anyone caught doing so. Charges for TP-ing will include the following: Trespassing, Criminal Mischief, Illegal Dumping, and Disorderly Conduct.
TP-ing is an annual tradition during Homecoming season, but police tell residents in a Facebook post that TP-ing to meant to be a "harmless" prank. However, some people have taken this action a little too far.
The act that is meant to be harmless has been taken too far and led to harassment to local residents that we have promised to protect. This department made numerous attempts last night to deter individuals from entering onto a specific residential property and dumping a significant amount of toilet paper. We cannot and were not available to watch every residence for every minute in town last night. Our efforts were ultimately unsuccessful, but their will be repercussions to those involved. Some have been identified and will be investigated for trespassing, criminal mischief, illegal dumping, and disorderly conduct. I am sure others will be identified shortly.
There is a limit when it comes to jokes. Police recognize that this punishment could be harsh, and some people in Jesup, Iowa, might have to learn the lesson the hard way.
