There was a time when just about every big city and small town in Iowa had a local steakhouse or restaurant where you could get a good steak dinner.

So how could one eatery get the distinction as “The Best Steakhouse” in all of Iowa?

The Daily Meal put out a list of “The Best Steakhouses In Every State”.

And according to them the 801 Chophouse in Des Moines gets the prize.
