Longest Natural Beard Locks Ever: Belongs to Hans N. Langseth. At the time of his passing in 1927, Langseth's beard measured an impressive 17 feet, 6 inches. Born in Norway, Langseth immigrated to the U.S. in 1867, settling in Kensett, Iowa.

He lived until the age of 81, passing away in Wyndmere, North Dakota. Langseth's beard was removed before his burial at Elk Creek Church Cemetery in Kensett.

In 1967, it was donated to the Smithsonian Institution, where it is currently kept in storage and occasionally exhibited.
