How Did I Not Know About Joe Exotic Prior to Tiger King?

There are so many unanswered questions in life and after watching Netflix's Tiger King, I find myself wondering about so many things.

The one question though that I keep coming back to has me totally perplexed.

How the hell did I not know about Joe Exotic prior to Tiger King?

In a day and age when I watch meaningless crap on the internet or social media daily, how didn't I come across one of Joe Exotic's videos or hear about his story?

Literally I watch a dude on Twitter named Superhuman who jumps on fire, glass, barbwire and more all while yelling "F*^@ This S%*#".

I watch college kids doing drunk things on a regular basis, I watch Rex Chapman's "Block or Charge" and yet I never saw a thing about Joe Exotic.

I'm not sure if this was a gift or a curse but I do know I will be on the prowl for more crazy content like Joe Exotic on the intraweb in hopes of not missing out on the next Tiger King like phenomenon.

The seven part series of Tiger King is currently on Netflix.
