There's an old saying. 'If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".

That's the first thought I had when I saw that headline. Going to the movies can count as a 'light workout'?

Yeah, right. And you have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell me, too.

But upon further investigation, there might be, at least a little, somethin' to it.

You see, watching a movie (I suppose, depending on the movie!) increases your heat rate about as much as a light cardio workout does.

Plus they say the movies could boost your concentration and memory because you're focusing on one thing rather than multiple things like that smartphone, table and television all at the same time.

Hmmm. I'm still not quite convinced, but the Daily Mail has the details of the study right here so you can decide for yourself.

Oh, but there is one thing I'm pretty sure of...the benefits of seeing that movie and getting the benefit of a 'light workout' might be negated if you supersize that soda!
