Extreme weather roared across Minnesota on Monday, delivering a dramatic mix of thunderstorms, torrential rain, large hail, and at least one confirmed tornado.
Extreme Storm Chaser Reed Timmer captured some amazing video as thunderstorms, rain, hail, and tornadoes moved through Minnesota on Monday.
The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down in Blue Earth County around 6:25 p.m., after the county and at least 10 others were placed under an extreme tornado watch on Monday afternoon.
Renowned storm chaser Reed Timmer was on the ground capturing breathtaking footage as the system intensified, offering a front-row view of nature’s raw power.
Timmer, widely recognized for his fearless approach to intercepting severe storms, documented the fast-moving conditions as they evolved across southern Minnesota.
The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down in Blue Earth County around 6:25 p.m., following the issuance of tornado watches across more than ten counties earlier in the day.
With a Ph.D. in meteorology from the University of Oklahoma, Timmer has built a reputation for combining scientific expertise with adrenaline-fueled fieldwork.
He rose to prominence through the hit TV series Storm Chasers on the Discovery Channel, and has since intercepted over 1,000 tornadoes using his custom-built Dominator vehicles.
