If your lunch break could use a soundtrack, Downtown Sioux Falls has you covered.

The AMPT (Arts, Music & Performance Theatre) Summer Concert Series is officially back for 2026, bringing free live music to downtown all summer long. Thanks to support from Xcel Energy, music lovers can enjoy 39 performances through August 29 at some of the city's most popular gathering spots.

The weekly concert lineup makes it easy to fit a little live music into your schedule. Performances take place on Thursdays at Cherapa Place, Fridays at Lloyd Landing in the Steel District, and Saturdays at Phillips Avenue Plaza, all from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Whether you're grabbing lunch with coworkers, taking a break from the office, meeting friends downtown, or just looking for an excuse to enjoy some sunshine, AMPT provides the perfect midday escape.

This year's lineup features 11 talented regional acts covering a variety of musical styles, including Beverly Gibson, Blue Moon Rhythm, Carey Hofer, Holly Vandenberg, James Dean Acoustic, Jeff Thomson, Kevin Ryne, Landon Weis, Link West, Short Notice Trio, and The Fabulous Fitty.

The series has become a summertime tradition in Sioux Falls, turning ordinary lunch hours into mini music festivals and filling downtown with energy, entertainment, and plenty of toe-tapping moments.
