DOC Places Sioux Falls Prison Complex on Lockdown Status
The South Dakota State Penitentiary and other correctional facilities in Sioux Falls have been placed under lockdown.
According to Dakota News Now, the Department of Corrections placed the Sioux Falls prison facilities on lockdown status at 7:30 Tuesday morning.
Additional Information
- This lockdown is not in response to any disturbance or assault
- Essential operations will continue, including, Clinical services, Meals, and Necessary transports.
The Department of Corrections stated the restrictions will remain active until further notice.

I am a longtime fan of the television show Unsolved Mysteries. The classic version from the 80s/90s. I remember a few times the late Robert Stack introduced a mystery in South Dakota.
