URGENT: Costco Issues Wine Recall in Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota Due to Bottle Shattering Risk.

Costco has issued an immediate recall for Kirkland Signature Prosecco Valdobbiadene due to serious safety concerns involving spontaneous bottle shattering.

  • Product: Kirkland Signature Prosecco Valdobbiadene
  • Item Number: 1879870
  • Sale Period: April 25 - August 26, 2025
  • Risk: Bottles may shatter unexpectedly, even when not being handled or used

Affected Locations

The recalled wine was sold at Costco stores across 12 Midwest states, including Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota. Other affected states include Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Immediate Action Required

If you purchased this prosecco during the specified timeframe, stop using the product immediately and handle bottles with extreme caution. The spontaneous shattering risk poses potential injury hazards from glass fragments.

Do not attempt to open or consume the wine.

Looks Like A Cartoon Halloween At Costco!

It's almost Halloween, and it looks like Costco is banking on beloved animated characters to help transform your haunted home.

Apparently, gone are the days when Halloween meant only spine-chilling skeletons and terrifying tombstones.

This year, Costco's Halloween section reads more like a Disney catalog than a horror movie set!
