Classic Movie: Dances with Wolves 1990

'Dances With Wolves' put South Dakota on the 'movie map' 25 years ago.

The movie won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Kevin Costner (who was also nominated for Best Actor).

Filmed mostly in our great state, the film received another high honor as it was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
