Civil Air Patrol Seeking New Cadets in Sioux Falls

Civil Air Patrol squadrons throughout the state are looking for new cadets age 12 and older. Cadets participate in search and rescue missions, radio communication exercises and for fun they launch model rockets.

In Civil Air Patrol, you can learn, lead and play a role as a cadet volunteer in the U.S. Air Force's official civilian auxiliary. Join the more than 23,000 cadet members who experience this and a lot more in CAP without any obligation to join the military.

In South Dakota Civil Air Patrol units meet one evening a week all year.

 

Cadets also have opportunities for community service through organized activities and can participate in summer encampments, various summer academies dealing with aviation and aerospace science, and can qualify for a wide variety of academic and flight scholarships. Parental participation in all CAP activities is encouraged.
