Last week a source was predicting over 20 inches of snow for Sioux Falls before Christmas. Maybe they were confused with centimeters. Our amateur Canadian weather forecaster, Frankie MacDonald, wants to inform us that we could see about 20 centimeters of snow (that would be just about 8 inches) in the Sioux Falls and Rapid City area. Frankie said that we will see blowing and drifting snow on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. A low pressure system is going to intensify and strengthen and will cause blowing and drifting snow, plus it will cause treacherous driving conditions and reduced visibility.

You know what you need to do.  Stock up on your Coke and Pepsi and make sure you have every color of tea available to keep warm.

Just so we have a couple of opinions, here is what Todd Heitkamp and the National Weather Service are predicting. Wouldn't that be funny if Frankie was right, and the NWS was wrong. My money is on Frankie!
