Recently Republican South Dakota Representative Phil Jensen introduced a bill to NOT forward to the Huron School District any moneys appropriated in the general appropriation bill for state aid to education.
"An Act to defund the Huron School District.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Department of Education may not forward to the Huron School District any moneys appropriated in the general appropriation bill for state aid to education."
