Grand Falls Casino Bringing ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ To The Sioux Empire

Okay, Wheel of Fortune fans, this is about as close as you can get to stepping onto the famous game show set without actually having to make a trip to Hollywood.

Wheel of Fortune is coming to the Sioux Empire this October, and you could have a chance to spin the big wheel, solve some puzzles, and walk away with some fantastic prizes.

Grand Falls Casino is bringing its own version of the popular TV game show to the Sioux Empire on Saturday, October 17.

Grand Falls Casino's Connor Enberg told Dakota News Now, "This is something we’ve never done before. This is actually really interesting. If you’re a fan of Wheel of Fortune, this is the closest you can get to actually experiencing it in the real studio."

If you're like me, sitting on the couch yelling answers at the television before the contestant finally figures it out. Here's your opportunity to show everyone how the game is played.

This isn't just a Wheel of Fortune-themed night where you watch someone else have all the fun.

Ticket holders will have a chance to be randomly selected to get up on stage and compete.

If your name gets called, you'll be given the opportunity to spin a giant carnival-style wheel and solve word puzzles for a chance to win cash and prizes.

And we're not talking about a consolation prize of a year's supply of paper towels.

According to Dakota News Now, prizes could include kitchen appliances, exotic vacations, up to $10,000 in cash, and other prizes.

So, if you've ever thought, "I could totally do that," this might be your opportunity to prove it.

Just remember: When you're standing in front of the puzzle board with everyone watching, suddenly remembering the word "THE" may become surprisingly difficult.

Can you say brain fart!!

The Grand Falls Casino version of Wheel of Fortune takes place Saturday, October 17, from 8:00 to 9:30 PM.

The event will be held inside Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort.

You must be 18 years or older to participate, and you'll need to purchase a ticket for a chance to be selected as a contestant.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the night of the show.

So, Sioux Falls Wheel of Fortune fans, start practicing those word puzzles.

You never know. One minute you're sitting at home watching Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White on TV. The next, you could be standing on stage at Grand Falls with your hands on the big wheel, wondering whether you should buy a vowel.
