Minnesota’s Valleyfair Announces Opening For The Season

As the weather continues to warm up, people are starting to make plans for summer fun, and Valleyfair is getting ready for another busy season. They're announcing their season opening on Sunday, May 11.

So whether you're going for the rollercoaster rides, the pickles-in-a-bag, the other varieties of food goodies, or their special events, Valleyfair offers something for everyone in your family.

Their event lineup this year includes:

• Opening Day on May 11

Then the Summerbration celebration kicks off:

• Star Spangled Night - July 4 - It's an all-ages light and sound show with a patriotic theme
• Juicy Lucy Festival - July 12 & 13 and July 19 & 20 - Brand new this year, it is a celebration of Minnesota's famous burger. They'll have an expansive number of Juicy Lucy burger offerings as well as other favorite Minnesota flavors, dozens of local brews, ciders, and cocktails along with live, local bands.
• Latin Days - August 2 & 3 - Traditional Latin dances and flavors are just part of this amazing cultural festival.
• Corn Fest - August 16 - September 1 (weekends) - This event celebrates Minnesota's golden crop in a variety of fun and delicious ways, from sweet to savory, from corn-eating contests to live local music and games, and more.

The fun continues into the fall with:

• ValleyScare - September 20 - October 25 (select nights) - This is the time of year when this theme park turns into a scream park with all kinds of thrills and scares to kick off your Halloween season.
• Tricks & Treats - September 27 - October 26 (select days) - This is the family-friendly Halloween event with costume contests, Halloween fun games, foods, activities and of course, candy.
