This South Dakota City Makes List Of “Most Boring Cities” 2025

This one South Dakota town has been listed in the “Top 10 Most Boring Cities” in America.

Well, this is awkward. Sioux Falls has officially made it to the big leagues...landing at #4 on FinanceBuzz's "Top 10 Most Boring Cities in America." Congratulations?

FinanceBuzz explains, “While Sioux Falls has multiple restaurants that have been recognized by the James Beard Foundation, the city also has the highest percentage of eateries that are chain restaurants of any city in the country...58%. Sioux Falls also has the fourth-lowest number of must-do attractions per capita in the country, and is tied for the fourth-fewest sports teams.”

The report dings us for having the fourth-lowest number of "must-do attractions per capita."

And apparently, being "tied for fourth-fewest sports teams" is boring too.

Sure, we might not have the NFL or NBA, but have these people witnessed the passionate intensity of a Canaries baseball game? The drama! The hot dogs!

Look, we may have made this list, but at least we're in good company with Phoenix and San Antonio.

Plus, being boring means we're probably safer, more affordable, and a nice place to raise a family.
