The Summit League

We're still a ways off from the Summit League Basketball Tournaments returning to Sioux Falls in early March, but it's never too early to plan ahead!

One of the best and certainly one of the most well-attended sporting events on the Sioux Falls calendar is here to stay.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State earned its fifth straight Summit League Commissioner's Cup and set a new league record with its 10th overall, the conference office announced Monday. The Jackrabbits claimed the top spot by earning 94 total points between their men's and women's programs and also swept the Dr. Helen Smiley Women's All-Sports Award and Dr. William Steinbrecher Men's All-Sports Award.

The active offseason continues for Coach Carrie Eighmey and the South Dakota Coyote Women's Basketball program.

It was a very special single season for Oscar Cluff in Brookings as part of the South Dakota State Jackrabbit program.

Some off-seasons are more change-filled than others for certain College Basketball programs, and it appears that we've already gotten news of some changes coming for both the USD Men's and Women's programs.

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits put together another stellar performance on Thursday afternoon, taking care of 8th-seeded in Omaha in the Summit League Quarterfinals.

It's not often that you find a pair of Quarterfinal matchups in any collegiate basketball tournament with as much buzz as we have tonight here in Sioux Falls.

The Summit League Tournament is here! Action will get underway on Wednesday afternoon and evening with the 8-9 seed play-in games from inside the Denny Sanford Premier Center!

Both the South Dakota Coyotes and South Dakota State Jackrabbit Men's programs believe themselves to be good enough to seize the Summit League Tournament crown this week in Sioux Falls.
