Early this morning crews were out with heavy equipment working on hot spots, which were mostly intersections and flat sections here in town.

All across South Dakota people are feeling the effects of continuing rain fall and flooding.

We asked residents on Facebook to submit their flooding pictures. And they did. These pictures show the water that is drowning the Sioux Empire.

Living in the southeastern part of Sioux Falls I have seen the Big Sioux River Flood at Spencer and Tuthill Park probably a dozen times. I've never seen it with icing on top until now.

The massive rain storm, melting, and flooding has caused intersections and sections of roads to close in Sioux Falls.

If it seems like it has been a wet year around Sioux Falls, that's because it has. We are very close to setting an all-time record.

Get ready for a bumpy ride. The Sioux Falls tri-state area can expect some interesting Fall weather over the next couple of days.
