It was a gun lovers paradise over the weekend at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, as thousands of people from all over the area walked through the doors of the Dakota Territory Gun Show on Saturday and Sunday.

KSFY TV is reporting that roughly 375 different vendors set up shop on Saturday and Sunday, (February 10-11) for one of the largest gun shows held in this region.

Over the weekend, gun dealers and gun enthusiasts from all over the country gathered at the Convention Center to sell and buy guns.  Dakota Territory Association hosted the two-day event which they call their trophy show "The Big One." It's South Dakota's largest gun show, that's typically held during the second weekend of February each year.

The Dakota Territory Show in Sioux Falls always features a variety of firearms ranging from, antiques and collectibles, to hunting, to personal protection and military style looking semi-automatic firearms. One of my personal favorites.

Gun Show Manager Rob Moore told KSFY TV, “I think a lot of people come to the gun shows because they're not only interested in firearms, but they're interested in what’s going on in their country; a lot of people are interested in protecting their homes and protecting themselves."

The Sioux Falls gun show is the largest of the 14 different firearm shows the Dakota Territory Association hosts each year.

In case you happened to miss this past weekends show, the next gun show slated for South Dakota is this weekend, (February 17-18) in Pierre at the Ramkota River Centre. Then of course there's always the Sioux Falls Collectors Classic show that's held each year, that one comes up on Saturday and Sunday, (March 10-11) at the Ramkota Hotel Exhibit Hall.
