The South Dakota Heritage Military Alliance does so many great things for the people of Sioux Falls, and not just for the military families that live here in the community.

The Alliance, located at 1600 W. Russell Street, is a non-profit organization that, over the past five years, has established a reputation for giving back to the community.

They have offered the people of Sioux Falls a wide variety of services and entertainment since taking over the former mega-pawn shop, known as Black Hills Pawn, in March of 2020.

Some of the more notable concerts that have played out at the Alliance include Nightranger, Lita Ford, Uncle Kracker, Queensryche, Aaron Tippin, Phil Vassar, Little Texas, Casey Donahew, Trace Adkins, and Aaron Watson, to name a few.

This spring, they even conducted a workshop on church safety, put on by the folks with the Right to Bear Association.

And now, the Alliance is broadening the list of services it provides even further to the people of Sioux Falls.

As Pigeon 605 reports, the Alliance has just added a salon and a tattoo studio to the long list of other services they already provide, like a state-of-the-art gun range. If you're a big 2nd Amendment supporter like me, you will love this range! The Alliance also features a family center with a dance hall, an events center, a bar and grill, a full kitchen that offers catering, along with 17 meeting rooms and a gift shop.

According to Pigeon 605, the new salon, called Howdy Honey, will specialize in military men’s haircuts, but will also offer a full range of beauty services, including coloring, permanents, and hair extensions.

Owner Jen Jackson, the daughter of a serviceman, has vast experience with massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, and permanent makeup as well.

The new tattoo studio, called Soul Fire Studio, will feature a wide range of body art options from owner Natalie Fawcett.
