This South Dakota Dog’s Burrito Obsession Leads To A Hilarious Chase
Dogs Are Amazing Creatures
Years ago, I had a German Shepherd named Zeus that I dearly loved. He was the sweetest-natured dog I ever had, but he did have a couple of faults. He never learned how to catch - anything. He couldn't play with balls or frisbees, and he didn't get the concept of catching food treats.
Zeus had been a farm dog for the first five years of his life and had little or no training when I adopted him. But man, did he love treats. The problem was that you couldn't throw him a treat, as it would just hit him in the head or face with very little reaction from him.

You didn't dare hand him something either because he would nearly bite your fingers off trying to retrieve what you had in your hand. You had to lay whatever treat he was supposed to get down in front of him to preserve his dignity and your hands.

Yes, dogs are funny creatures sometimes.
Here is Max the Great Pyrenees' adventure.
Take this dog, a Great Pyrenees, by the name of Max, who lives here in South Dakota. He apparently has developed a taste for the delicious breakfast burritos that they have at a convenience store in Langford, South Dakota. Langford is a little town in Marshall County, north and east of Aberdeen.
The story is that an employee at the store gave him a breakfast burrito as a treat, and Max fell in love with them. The burrito that is. Max disappeared from his home one night and walked five miles overnight to get to the convenience store to wait for one of his beloved breakfast burritos.
His owner, Sara Olson, was shocked when she got GPS alerts from a tracker on his collar, which told her that her wandering pooch mooch was five miles from home.

Nowadays, Max gets homemade breakfast burritos on a daily basis to keep him from making those five-mile trips into Langford.
