Most importantly, this effort helps feed the hungry. Based on looks, these jerseys should provide a good yield for Feeding South Dakota.

For the last two years, the Sioux Falls Skyforce and South Dakota Corn have combined efforts to raise over $14,000 and 740 pounds of food. In year three of the campaign, the corn-themed jerseys are back with a goal to double up those numbers.

According to a press release, the Skyforce will accept food donations during regular business hours from Monday March 13 through Friday March 17 at their office location 2131 S. Minnesota Avenue. There will also be donation boxes set up for the night when the players will wear the jerseys on Saturday March 18 when the Los Angeles D-Fenders come to the Sanford Pentagon.

Jerseys can be purchased prior to the game at this link to the Skyforce website or they will be sold through auction at the game. CEO of Feeding South Dakota Matt Gassen was quoted in the press release saying, “Last year, this promotion helped to provide more than 45,000 meals for struggling individuals and families across the community.”
