Sioux Falls Road Construction To Know About This Week

Sioux Falls drivers have several road construction projects to watch for this week, with lane, parking, and sidewalk closures beginning Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25.

10th Street:

Beginning Tuesday, the far-left westbound lane at Mall Avenue will close for accessible curb ramp repairs. Two westbound lanes will remain open. The sidewalk and parking lane on the south side will also close, with pedestrians detoured around the work zone. The project is expected to take about two weeks.

11th Street:

The far-left eastbound lane at Mall Avenue will close Tuesday for accessible curb ramp repairs. Two eastbound lanes will remain open, while the north-side sidewalk and parking lane will close. After the north side is finished, crews will move to the south side for approximately two weeks.

13th Street and First Avenue:

Parking lanes near the intersection will close Tuesday for accessible curb ramp repairs. The east-side sidewalk on First Avenue will also be closed, with pedestrian detours in place. This work is expected to take about two weeks.
Drivers should slow down, watch for workers and traffic changes, and consider alternate routes when possible.

26th Street and Marion Road:

Beginning Monday, northbound traffic on South Marion Road will be reduced to one lane between Berkshire Boulevard and Silver Valley Drive. Crews will complete ADA ramp and full-depth concrete repairs ahead of mill and overlay work scheduled for September. The project is expected to continue through late October.
