Sioux Falls ‘Southside Slamwich Showdown’ Starts February 1st
For the past month, there's been a fierce battle going on to determine the best-tasting burger in downtown Sioux Falls, as that competition begins to wind down, another friendly little culinary competition is getting ready to begin from a group of restaurants in Southern Sioux Falls.
Starting February 1st, twelve different restaurants are preparing to embark on what is being called the "Southside Slamwich Contest."
Dakota News Now reports that southside Sioux Falls restaurants like Smoked Culture, Tinners, ROAM Kitchen + Bar, Taphouse 41, 22TEN Kitchen, The Barrel House, Tavern 180, Roundhouse Brewpub, All Day Cafe, Let it Fly, McNally’s Irish Pub, and The Dive will all be participating.

Each of these restaurants has prepared a delicious sandwich offering for the month that residents can try and ultimately vote for to help determine who will be the “Southside Slamwich Showdown Champion.”
Throughout February, you'll be able to sink your teeth and your taste buds into twelve different slamwiches like the Sun-Drenched Feta Lambwich, Korean Sticky Chicken Sandwich, the Cajun 5-way Po’boy, Barrel Italian Smoked Beef, The Catcher on the Rye, The Latimer, LIF Sherry Sirloin Sandwich, and the Shrimp Po Boy with Creole Remoulade to name a few.
Sioux Empire residents can cast their votes for their favorite delectable sandwiches from each of these twelve Southside establishments. You'll be able to have your say by tapping into the interactive voting happening throughout the entire month of February. It's your chance to ensure your favorite sandwich gets the recognition it deserves by casting a vote for the People's Choice Award.
