The iconic 1956 Ford tow truck that sat in front of the Borrowed Bucks building for decades sold in an auction over the weekend in Sioux Falls.

KDLT News is reporting that a Sioux Falls resident purchased the tow truck on Saturday, (December 16) during an auction at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.

According to KDLT News, the truck ended up selling for 9 thousand dollars. In addition to the tow truck, more than four hundred signs and numerous pieces of memorabilia from the bar here in Sioux Falls, as well as the Borrowed Buck's location in Grand Forks, North Dakota were up for grabs during the two day auction.

People from all over the state and the country came to Sioux Falls to bid on items that have been fixtures in both bars for decades.

Marv Girard, with Girard Auction & Land Brokers told KDLT News, “When you get in a deal like this where you have been in business for years. They had so many customers that wanted to be here and support them.”

Buck's of course closed their doors last summer after being open for 25 years in Sioux Falls.
