Sioux Falls Radio Team Honored by Mayor With ‘Ben and Patty Day’
On Wednesday morning (Jan 17) Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken stopped by the 973 KKRC studio to declare January 1, 2024, as Ben and Patty Day in the Sioux Empire.
If you have ears, a radio, and have been in Sioux Falls anytime over the last 30 years, there's a very good chance you've heard Ben and Patty.
LISTEN: Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken on 973 KKRC:
For three decades the morning radio team of Ben Davis and Patty Dee have entertained and informed Sioux Falls.
They have been heard on a couple of different stations over the years but never stopped being the way lots of folks around here wake up every weekday.
Ben and Patty started together in the mid-90s on KIKN-FM playing country music with their conversations.
They soon moved to what at the time was called Mix 973, and is now 97.3 KKRC. And they have made it their home there the longest.
