Sioux Falls Gears Up For The Thrilling Lewis Drug Pro/AM Racquetball Tournament
It still may feel like a deep freeze has settled over the Sioux Empire, but inside several racquetball courts around Sioux Falls, things are about to heat up in a big way. Starting Thursday, January 29, the 46th annual Lewis Drug Pro/AM Racquetball Tournament will bring fast-paced action, thundering serves, and world-class competition to town.
From January 29 through February 1, professional and amateur racquetball players from across the country will converge on Sioux Falls for one of the most respected tournaments in the sport. The Sioux Falls Family YMCA will serve as tournament headquarters and host the pro and amateur singles and doubles matches, making it ground zero for the weekend’s action.
Professional singles matches tip off early Thursday afternoon, with doubles play getting underway later that day. Amateur competitors will hit the courts starting at 9:00 AM Friday, though tournament organizers are doing their best to accommodate later first-round start times for those who can’t break away first thing in the morning.

The tournament can host up to 120 entries and will utilize several racquetball clubs throughout Sioux Falls, meaning some travel between locations is part of the experience. Players and spectators alike can expect food and beverages to be available in select locations throughout the weekend.
What truly sets the Lewis Drug Pro/AM apart is its history. It’s the longest-running racquetball tournament in the United States and has grown into a prestigious Tier One event. This year’s field is once again headlined by Kane Waselenchuk, who has reclaimed his title as the world’s top player after battling through injuries.
