Professional Tennis Tournament Makes Its Sioux Falls Return
Professional tennis came to Sioux Falls last year with the Marketbeat Open, and Dakota News Now is reporting that it is coming back this fall.
The Huether Family Match Pointe is again hosting this professional men's tournament beginning on Sunday, October 19.

There are two major changes this year. First of all, the event itself has been upgraded from an ATP 75 (Association of Tennis Professionals) tournament to an ATP 100 tournament. That means the winner earns more ranking points.
The second thing that has changed is the prize purse. The prize money has doubled from last year.
Thirty-two of the top men's singles players in the world will be featured, along with 16 doubles teams.
Tickets for the MarketBeat Open will be on sale beginning August 25.
This will be the tournament schedule:
- Sunday, October 19: Singles Qualifying
- Monday, October 20: Singles Qualifying/Singles First Round
- Tuesday, October 21: Singles First Round/Doubles First Round
- Wednesday, October 22: Singles Round of 16/Doubles First Round
- Thursday, October 23: Singles Round of 16/Doubles Quarterfinals
- Friday, October 24: Singles Quarterfinals/Doubles Semifinals
- Saturday, October 25: Singles Semifinals/Doubles Championship
- Sunday, October 26: Singles Championship
This will be our chance to see some extraordinary professional tennis players in action right here in Sioux Falls.
