Sioux Falls To Open New Indoor Playground At Rec Center

The City of Sioux Falls is announcing a major addition to the Westside Recreation Center with the opening of a brand-new indoor playground designed for children and families.

The community is invited to attend a special event on Thursday, April 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the facility, located at 8701 W. 32nd Street.

This new 1,600-square-foot indoor playground offers a fun, safe, and engaging environment for kids to stay active year-round, regardless of the weather.

It marks one of several upgrades made since the City of Sioux Falls took ownership of the recreation center just over a year ago.

During that time, the facility has undergone significant improvements aimed at enhancing the overall experience for visitors.

Updates include new carpet and lighting, parking lot improvements, and resurfaced gymnasium and group exercise studio courts.

These upgrades not only improve the look and feel of the space but also support expanded programming and increased community use.

In addition to these enhancements, construction on a new roof is currently underway.
