Sioux Falls Great Bear Ski Valley Closes Due To Weather

Great Bear Ski Valley east of Sioux Falls announced they will be closed due to the weather. 

Due to the forecasted high winds, Great Bear Ski Valley will be closed today, December 19, 2024.

The park will be open regular hours for skiing & snowboarding Friday, December 20, 2024.

Extended hours for the holiday break begin Saturday, December 21, 2024 and run through Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

·      Dec. 21 – Dec. 23: 9:00am – 9:00pm
·      Christmas Eve: 9:00am – 2:00pm
·      Christmas Day: CLOSED
·      Dec. 26: 9:00am – 9:00pm
·      Dec. 27: 9:00am – 10:00pm
·      Dec. 28 – Dec. 30: 9:00am – 9:00pm
·      New Year’s Eve: 9:00am – 11:30pm (Fireworks at midnight!)
·      New Year’s Day: 9:00am – 9:00pm

The park opens early at 8:00am on Saturdays all winter to season passholders!

Great Bear hopes to open the Kirby Family Tubing Park for the season this Saturday!
