Sioux Falls Great Bear Ski Announces Official Opening Date

Great Bear Ski Valley will open for skiing and snowboarding for season pass holders on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 3 pm! 

Great Bear Ski Park, just east of Sioux Falls, South Dakota will open to the general public on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 12 pm.

Due to limited runs, capacity will be limited. Online pre-purchases are required for day tickets.

Lift tickets and lessons are now available to book online at greatbearpark.com.

Season passes, ticket packs and buddy passes will be accepted without restriction. No reservation is required.

If you plan to visit with a voucher or discount, please email info@greatbearpark.com at least 24 hours in advance.

Great Bear hopes to open tubing for the season by holiday break, depending on the weather. Tickets for tubing are not yet available online.

Punch cards, buddy passes and gift certificates from the 2023/2024 season will now be accepted through January 31, 2025.

Weekly promotions including Monday Madness, Tubing Tuesday, 5th Grade Days, and College ID Nights will begin after holiday break on January 2, 2025.
