Sioux Falls Butterfly House and Aquarium Celebrates Holidays (Gallery)
If you're a person who would love to take a short tropical vacation from our current cold weather, then you've got to check out the Sioux Falls Butterfly House and Aquarium. It's a not to be missed experience year-round, but especially in the winter when you need a break from the cold.
Right now they're getting ready for some very special holiday visitors, including you! On Saturday, December 14, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be waiting for you from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Butterfly House.
Before your visit with them, you'll want to stop by the craft station and write your letter to Santa, which you can then deliver in person. Plus you can make a really fun craft project ornament.
You can also enjoy the hot chocolate and cider bar to warm up between activities.
This is also a wonderful opportunity for you and your family to get up close and personal with some of the creatures in the Eastern Shores touch exhibit, like the horseshoe crabs.
After you visit with Santa in the butterfly house, stay awhile feed some butterflies, and watch all the beautiful creatures float from place to place.
All of the activities are included with membership or admission to the Butterfly House and Aquarium. For more information see the Great Plains Zoo and Butterfly House & Aquarium online, or call 605-496-9162.
