New Restaurant to Open in Downtown Sioux Falls
A new restaurant will soon take the place of A Taste of the Big Apple at 4th and Main Avenue at Larson Square. The pizza restaurant closed earlier this year.
A new sandwich shop called Bread and Circus Sandwich Kitchen will open this month at 600 North Main. According to their Facebook page, it will be a casual spot to enjoy well-crafted sandwiches, soups, salads and sides. They'll also serve beers and sodas.
Roosevelt High School friends, Barry Putzke and Jordan Taylor own the new business that will specialize in quality handcrafted food. They'll even have a deli case offering house made deli meats and sausages and sourcing as much of the ingredients locally as they can. Their proximity to the Falls Park Farmers' Market will come in handy this summer.
Check out some of these items on their menu.
- Smoked brisket with tempura bacon, Carolina BBQ sauce, and pimento cheese on Ciabatta bread.
- Meatball sandwich made with beef and pork, Calabrian chilies, pepperoni sauce, and mozzarella cheese on Ciabatta bread.
- Porkstrami made with pork belly, beer brasied kraut, fontina, and grainaise on rye bread.
Are you hungry yet? The menu sounds like something you'd see on an episode of Food Network's Diner's Drive-ins and Dives. Maybe once they open and get up and running, we could send the show an e-mail and have them visit. Let's face it, that show needs to come to Sioux Falls.
Looking for a job? They're hiring.
