My Journey Into the Alaskan Interior

Alaska is a big place. It's by far the biggest of all the states. In fact, you could fit Texas into Alaska twice! Alaskan winters are unsurprisingly brutal, but what about Alaskan summers?

My summer journey to Alaska a few years back was anything but ordinary. My sister lives up there on the Yukon River with her husband and three kids. My mom and I visited them at their cabin on the river. Here are a few memories from an unforgettable journey.

Visiting the remote wilderness of Alaska was the trip of a lifetime. I hope to make it back again someday. Not just because my family lives there, but who wouldn't want fresh salmon every day, am I right?
