We can expect wintry mix with heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches and ice accumulations of one-tenth to two-tenths of an inch possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

The Sioux Falls National Weather Service is saying travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Light to moderate amounts of ice accumulation will be possible in many areas this weekend. Average amounts of a tenth or two-tenths of an inch are possible, which is likely to produce slick roadways and sidewalks.
