Lindsay Lohan Ready For Proper ‘Mean Girls’ Sequel, Already ‘Wrote a Treatment For It’
Lindsay Lohan is so ready to return to North Shore High School.
During a Facebook Live interview with CNN on Thursday, December 29, the actress explained that she's actually written a screen treatment for a proposed sequel to her hit 2004 comedy, Mean Girls, and that she is urging for the film to be made.
"I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2," she dished, enthusiastically, apparently unaware of or, like us, choosing to ignore ABC Family's standalone 2011 direct-to-TV sequel of the same name. "It is not in my hands. I know that Tina Fey and [producer] Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount are very busy, but I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it!"
While a proper sequel featuring the film's original cast has long been discussed, nothing has been solidified. However, Lohan has a solution.
"I have already written a treatment for it," she revealed. "I just need a response. I know Mark Waters, the director, he'd happily come back."
And if Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams and Lacey Chabert can't all reprise their roles as the Plastics, Lohan also has some new co-stars in mind.
"I'd love to have Jamie Lee Curtis and Jimmy Fallon in the movie," she quipped.
