Limited Edition of ‘Crystal Pepsi’ to be Back on Shelves in 2014

In the early 1990's Pepsi Co. turned the cola industry upside when they introduced a clear cola, known as Crystal Pepsi! It was marketed as a caffeine-free "clear alternative" to normal colas. Its marketing slogan was "You've never seen a taste like this".

Pepsi pulled the drink off the market and returned several months later with a reformulated citrus drink titled "Crystal From Pepsi", but this was short-lived as well.

Now after being laid to rest for the past 20 years, Pepsi is bringing it back from the dead. PepsiCo spokesman Mark Draper said in a statement:

“Twenty years ago consumers found the soda’s unusual coloring to be off-putting,”  “Now, the novelty of anything associated with the 1990s pretty much guarantees it will sell enough units for us to make some money with it.”
