The region's premier Christian Music Festival is back this weekend.

LifeLight 2024 is making its return to the Sioux Empire this Sunday, (September 1) at Nelson Park at 200 South Fairfax Avenue in Sioux Falls.

LifeLight began back in 1998 and now in its 26th year, continues its mission of reaching families and people of all ages in the community through music, faith, and community engagement.

LifeLight has a longstanding tradition of taking the church outside of its walls.

As Dakota News Now reports, this Labor Day weekend thousands of people will once again gather together in a new location, this year in Nelson Park, otherwise known as Drake Springs Park to hear an outstanding lineup of artists that span various genres of Christian music, together with thought-provoking speakers, all designed to help attendees find inspiration and spiritual growth.

This year's LifeLight performers include Grammy-nominated artists The NewsBoys, together with other artists and speakers like KB, Blessing Offor, The Afters, Rhett Walker, Michah Tyler, Lara Silva, Josh Brewer, and many more.

In addition to all the stellar music and the ministry on Sunday at LifeLight, attendees can also take in the Z8 Event on Saturday night, (August 31) at the South Dakota Military Alliance on Russell Street. That evening attendees will be treated to a performance by the Stunt Dudes, who are professional BMX artists starting at 5 PM.

The Z8 Event designed to reach young people serves as kind of a lead-up to LifeLight, and will feature live music, from various artists and speakers throughout the evening from 6:00 to 10 PM.

The entire LifeLight event is free to the public.
