Katy Perry has never shied away from making poignant political statements. After seeing Donald Trump's tone deaf tweet about the victims of the California wildfires, the pop star rightfully called him out.

Rather than tweeting a thoughtful message in support of the many affected by the wildfires, Trump indicated he has zero sympathy for victims, tweeting—in the middle of the night from Paris—that the reason behind the fires was the "gross mismanagement of the forests."

He also threatened to cut federal aid for forest management if the fires aren't under control. Of course, Trump, who has been vocal about not believing in climate change, refuses to take into consideration that climate change is a huge factor in these wildfires.

Perry was one of the first to fire back at him, writing, "This is an absolutely heartless response. There aren’t even politics involved. Just good American families losing their homes as you tweet, evacuating into shelters."

Shortly after her tweet, other celebrities chimed in, including John Legend, Zach Braff and Sarah Silverman, among others.

Legend summed it up best, writing, "Our National Embarrassment can't bring himself to show some empathy to Californians dealing with a horrific disaster."
