Katie Couric Breaks Silence on Matt Lauer’s Sexual Misconduct Accusations
Katie Couric finally made her first comment concerning former Today Show co-host Matt Lauer and his sexual misconduct allegations.
In an Instagram post yesterday (December 8), the 60-year-old news anchor and host responded to a fan's comment when she shared a throwback photo featuring her and her daughter.
The comment called out Couric for not making any statements on the current events revolving around Lauer.
"It’s incredibly upsetting and I will say something when I’m ready to," she responded. "Thanks for your interest.”
Both Lauer and Couric co-hosted the Today Show for 15 years until she became a news anchor for CBS Evening News in 2006.
