One of eastern South Dakota's favorite summer traditions is back as Jesse James Days rides into Garretson June 19-21 with three days packed full of family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food, history, and outdoor adventure.

Visitors can enjoy ongoing attractions throughout the weekend, including self-guided hikes at Devil's Gulch, an area art trail, a nature scavenger hunt, local artist showcases, kayaking at Split Rock Park, wine tasting at Humble Hill Winery, and a Junior Legion baseball tournament.

Enjoy Exciting Activities Throughout the Weekend

Friday's festivities feature a free children's concert, classic car and tractor show, live music, model train displays, a cornhole tournament, museum tours, and the debut of a new "This is Garretson" movie.

Saturday is the celebration's biggest day, beginning with a pancake feed, blood drive, and the Jesse James Road Race. The day continues with an arts and crafts fair, family activities at the library, a vendor fair, the annual parade, inflatables, face painting, a petting zoo, and the always-popular Jesse James bank robbery reenactment.

Wild West fans won't want to miss The Silver Creek Mavericks Wild West Show, while food lovers can head to the first-ever Rib Fest. The evening wraps up with a street dance featuring the band Undercover.

The fun continues Sunday with Father's Day fishing activities, an FFA Fishing Derby, family crafts, a Christian praise service, and a Summer Solstice nature hike.
