Minnesota Twins TV Nightmare Ends, MLB to the Rescue for 2025
The broadcast relationship between the Minnesota Twins and Bally Sports North has officially come to an end.
The team and Bally's parent company Diamond Sports Group have severed ties, along with eleven other Major League teams. The Diamond Sports Group filed for bankruptcy in 2023.
Today, Major League Baseball announced that it will produce and broadcast Twins games in 2025. The Twins will join the Cleveland Guardians and Milwaukee Brewers as the newest MLB broadcast partners for next season.
MLB Deputy Commissioner of Business and Media, Noah Garden says,
With the media landscape continuing to evolve, Major League Baseball is committed to serving our fans by ensuring they can see their favorite Clubs, removing blackouts where we can, and ultimately growing the reach of our games.
Comcast customers lost access to Bally Sports North prior to the 2024 season, with no local TV access to Twins games.
In 2025, fans will be able to watch Minnesota Twins games via streaming devices, satellite and cable, even if you are in-market -- without blackouts.
What Will Twins Baseball Viewing Cost Through MLB?
Although the official service pricing hasn't been released yet, its expected to be about the same as it was last season at $19.99 per month, or a $99.99 one-time payment for access to the entire season.
The Twins, Guardians, and Brewers join the Arizona Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres, and Colorado Rockies as the current six teams on Major League Baseballs 2025 television broadcast roster.
